You are considering a vintage McKeever-Pattern .30 US Army Cartridge Case. It’s made out of leather and has a stamped date of 1904 along with Rock Island Arsenal. It was the standard-issue military cartridge case of the day and would carry 20 rounds of 30-40 Krag, otherwise known as .30 US or .30 Army. It’s in good shape for its age but does have some dings, scratches, and dents. It might be able to be cleaned up if you know a good leatherworker. The belt straps on the back will need to be resewn on.
